Nadeem qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG (London) in 1993 and joined Henton & Co in 1994.

He has an MBA from Cardiff Business School (University of Wales) and a degree in Maths and Electronic Physics from the University of London (Royal Holloway and Bedford New College).

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Nadeem has a wide experience of audit, accounting for businesses and taxation. He is an excellent all rounder, able to think strategically on behalf of clients bringing together a fusion of business advice and tax consultancy.

His determination, intellectual capacity and energy combine to provide clients with excellent care and attention and is contributing to the emergence of Henton & Co as one of the leading firms of Chartered Accountants in the city of Leeds.

Case Studies and Recent Assignments

 Successfully won the audit for a multi million pound property development company in Leeds City Centre.
 Assisted a multi-million pound property group restructure and raise new funding facilities with its bankers.
 Advised a firm of layers, with c£3m fee income, incorporate into a limited liability partnership and introduce a corporate partner into their structure. Corresponded with the Law Society to ensure compliance with all matters.
 Assisted a three partner dental practice structure their financial affairs to shield profits from 40% income tax rates.
 Negotiated with HM Revenue and Customs to settle a long standing tax enquiry from £250k to £50k.
 Worked closely with four director/shareholders to turnaround an aligning business resulting in stripping out toxic liabilities and hiving-off the successful profitable part of the business.
 Implemented a robust financial reporting system (including training on Sage and facilitating regular board meetings) for a family construction business, resulting in a 17% increase in profitability.
 Assisted a manufacturing company structure a JV with a US company and advised on the sale of their shareholding resulting in a 325% return on investment over 3 years.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Nadeem enjoys playing golf at Moor Allerton Golf Club, swimming, Thai-Boxing, chess (having being Leeds U16 Champion!) and family life.
