Having qualified at a national practice in 1990, Peter joined the leading independent practice in the Yorkshire region and progressed to partnership in 1999. Following a period as a partner within the Leeds office of a top 20 national firm, Peter joined Henton & Co on 1 July 2009 as partner in charge of the audit and accounts team.
   
Peter has developed long term relationships with a wide range of clients by combining his technical skills with a resolve to work with the highest levels of integrity and honesty. His appointment reflects the growth of Henton & Co as one of the leading independent practices in Leeds.

Peter advises clients across a diverse range of sizes and sectors, seeking to help those clients grow their businesses in a way that supports their personal objectives, providing strategic advice on future plans as well as covering regulatory requirements.
   
Peter has significant experience in the construction and allied trades sector and an interest and family background in the retail sector. To provide further variety Peter has also acted for a number of farming clients from Dales hill farms to large arable estates.
   

Interests

  
A family man with two daughters, Peter enjoys watching football and having had a season ticket at Elland Road since the 1980’s he has had his “ups and downs”.
   
He plays golf with a single figure handicap at Ilkley Golf Club and over the years has covered over 1,000 miles of long distance footpaths in the UK.
