Using a limited company to provide dental services

It has been proposed that from 31 July 2006 dental services can be provided by limited companies. This could provide an opportunity for dentists to save significant amounts of tax. For example a dentist earning profit of £100,000 could save around £16,000 if a company was used instead of a self-employment or partnership structure.

It is important that appropriate specialist professional advice is taken before taking a decision to use a company to provide dental services. Please contact Simon Gray on 0113 246 7900 or e-mail simon@hentons.com to discuss this topic in more detail.
