These are similar to MBOs except that the management team comes from outside the target company. MBI candidates generally have past experience of successfully managing businesses with a good track record. We work proactively with the MBI team to identify target companies through our contacts and data base. With MBI deals our contacts with the VC market is invaluable where equity is required from a funder to complete the transaction. Once a suitable target has been identified the MBI process is similar to the MBI process.
