Bespoke Sage support

Hentons bespoke Sage support is a complete range of services that can be tailored to your individual requirements, which include:

  • Purchase and installation of the software solution
    The first step of our service starts with the purchase of software. We will install and customise it so that it works to your individual requirements, either on your stand-alone desktop, laptop or computer network.
  • Tailored training either on site or at our offices
    Sage plc offers training. However it is costly, rigid and to a set timetable covering all the functions within the product range, many of which may not be relevant to your business. In addition, the courses are held at various Sage centres in the UK which may be far away or inaccessible to you.
    We will travel to your office or place of business to provide the training to you and your staff. Alternatively, we offer the facility for training to be provided at our offices near the city centre of Leeds. We will only provide training on the functions and areas of the software that you required in your business. Of course, we’ll recommend a suitable training agenda if you are new to Sage, accounting or payroll.
  • Telephone support
    Software guides and handbooks are helpful, but sometimes you just need a quick word or further guidance on how to deal with a particular issue. You will also want to speak to somebody who understands accountancy and bookkeeping and how your business works. Our experienced team are at the end of the telephone when you need help, providing excellent peace of mind, especially when still learning a new software package.
    If you think that you do not need a fixed annual support contract but need a customised ad-hoc support on an hour-by-hour basis then we can provide help as and when required.
  • Advice on which range of the Sage accounting and payroll software is most suitable
    Buying a new piece of software for your business is a daunting task. When that software is to also record the underlying transactions of the business, monitor and manage its state of affairs and provide management information it is of course much more important that you have the right advice.
  • Health check up
    For those that have been using Sage on a regular basis and believe that you are not getting the best from your investment, we offer a tailored check-up service.
    Through this we would assess what your requirements are and how your team and you are currently using the software. We would then provide advice and suitable training on specific areas where we think you could use the software more effectively. This could include improved ways of entering or extracting your accounting data, getting the most out of the existing features of the software or writing customised reports.
  • Provision of management information
    Making sure that you can produce accurate management information through the reporting functions is essential in running and managing your business. We will help you get the most out of the data that is entered into your Sage system, including links to Excel and other software to help with data analysis and comparison.
  • Software and system change over
    We have successfully migrated many clients from manual accounting systems, including Excel, to a suitable Sage solution and from other software providers e.g. Quick Books. Changeover need not be complicated and you’ll never look back. £115 ex VAT will provide you with the basic entry level Sage Instant Accounts package, containing sales, purchase and nominal ledgers together with Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet and VAT reporting.

Our fees
Our fees are based on the time and complexity of the work that we perform and generally we would charge between £60 and £85 per hour.

Our annual Sage software telephone support contracts start at £110 per annum.
