Chris Howitt

Chris’s time at Hentons has been quite the journey.

He started building a solid accounting foundation through his training and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003. His career path led him straight to Hentons, where he joined us as an Audit Senior.

In May 2011, Chris was promoted to Partner at Hentons.

During his time with us, Chris has worked with a diverse group of SME clients and now he’s at the helm of the SME and Audit teams. He has a passion for innovation, introducing new initiatives to drive continuous improvement and growth.

Chris’s dedication to maintaining audit excellence and prioritising client-oriented service not only led to the success of the audit department but also earned the department a nomination for the Accounting Excellence Awards in 2023.

“Side before self, every time” – Billy Bremner

Being a big advocate for work-life balance, Chris can often be found dedicating his time to his family when he’s not at work. His two sons and his daughter mean the world to him, and he is always looking for new ways of creating memories together.

As his favourite quote suggests, Chris is an avid Football and Leeds United fan.  Chris’ love for football may be confined to the terraces and his living room, but he does like to stay active by going to the gym regularly.
